Satire

There are many references to satire in Tuff by Paul Beatty. I thought that this video showed many of the components that Beatty uses in his novel. The main aspect that these both share is the idea of presenting a stereotype, stepping into that stereotype, and then breaking down that stereotype to make it mean something else. Both the reader and viewer are able to laugh at the flaws of humanity and the stereotypes within through these pieces of work.
